Meteora from the air

Meteora - the magnificent rocks in the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly, near the Pinios river and the Pindos mountain range - with the majestic orthodox monasteries perched on top of them (meteora = "suspended in air"). Video shot on board the Aegean Airlines flight from Athens to Brussels, February 2019.

The Meteora monasteries are included on the UNESCO World Heritage List under criteria I, II, IV, V, and VII.
