Ιαπωνικό πρωινό

Πρωινό στο Χοκάιντο: ψάρι, σούπα μίζο, τουρσάκια, ρύζι, φύκια για το ρύζι (όπως στην Ελλάδα έχουμε το ψωμί για "λαδομπούκες", στην Ιαπωνία έχουν τα φύκια για "ρυζοφυκιές" - ριζομπουκιές με φύκι). Έκπληξη το γάλα - τοπική "σπεσιαλιτέ" του Χοκάιντο, που φημίζεται για τα γαλακτοκομικά του, ένα προϊόν σχετικά νέο στην Ιαπωνία.

Hokkaido SuperDARN facility

Visit to the Hokkaido SuperDARN facility with Prof. Shiokawa, Prof. Nishitani, Dr. Nagatsuma and other colleagues from Nagoya University. On the way to the facility there is an obligation to disinfect car tyres and shoes, in order to protect cattle from any disease that might be accidentally carried by cars or people from elsewhere.
