Sardines

The beauty (and taste) of simplicity: salted sardines on bread with tomato. La Concha - a small tavern with tapas in Madrid.

Tuna

Tuna in the morning in Nachi Katsuura, Japan

Thunnus is a genus of ocean-dwelling, ray-finned bony fish from the mackerel family, Scombridae. More specifically, Thunnus is one of five genera which make up the tribe Thunnini – a tribe that is collectively known as the tunas, also called the true tunas or real tunas ...
The word Thunnus is the Middle Latin form of the Greek thýnnos (θύννος, "tuna, tunny") – which is in turn derived from thynō (θύνω, "to rush; to dart"). The first known written use of the word was by Homer.

Nachikatsuura

Impressions from the small town of Nachikatsuura, which is located near the southern tip of the Kii Peninsula, in the southeastern tip of Wakayama Prefecture, facing the Pacific Ocean to the east and hosting a lively fish auction market.
Parts of the town are within the limits of the Yoshino-Kumano National Park and are also within the Kumano area of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range".

Fish market breakfast
