Ανθισμένος κάκτος οπουντία ("αγκαθωτό αχλάδι" στα αμερικάνικα) - ξαδερφάκι της φραγκοσυκιάς, σε ερημική περιοχή της Γιούτα. Τα κακτοειδή είναι μία από τις 38 οικογένειες της τάξης των καρυοφυλλωδών.
