Khardung La

One of the highest (not the highest) motorable passes of the Himalayas and worldwide: Khardung La is a mountain pass in the Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir (5359m)

Entering Ladakh

Border control at the entrance point to Ladakh. Ladakh ("land of high passes") is a region in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Kunlun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. Chang La mountain pass

At the Chang La mountain pass in Ladakh (India), which is claimed to be the second highest motorable road in the world (5360m).

The two young donkeys do not seem to suffer from the low oxygen at this high altitude. We, on the other hand, started to feel dizzy after about 15 minutes.
