A short sentimental visit to the abandoned buildings of my former Institute in Katlenburg-Lindau, Lower Saxony - the Max Planck Institute for Aeronomy, once an internationally eminent institute, arguably among Europe’s leading space-science centres. Visiting the "ruins" of my institute was quite a sorrowful experience.
